You must have noticed that some companies are releasing NFC enabled smartphones in the market, but most people don’t know what it is and what they can do with it.

Near Field Communication is an ultramodern wireless communication system. It helps you share data with NFC enabled cell phones and other devices.

Doesn’t Bluetooth offer the same facilities? Good question and that is where Near Field Communication scores very high. When I said data, it does not only mean PDF, song, image and video. With the help of this technology, users can pay wireless, enjoy multiplayer gaming, set up Wi-Fi network and do a lot more.

How It Works? – An NFC enabled device creates a radio wave that connects with another NFC device or an object that has the NFC tag. While two NFC enabled smartphones can read and exchange data, items that hold NFC tags are mainly passive devices and provide one way communication. Only users can fetch data from them, but they can’t read phone data. For instance, if a poster has the tag, you can wave the smartphone in front of it to get more information about the advertised product/service.

Let’s find out some of the things you can do and will able to do using this groundbreaking technology.

  1. Going to the office? Use your phone to unlock the car and adjust the seats.
  2. After reaching the office, swipe the cell phone to enter.
  3. If you travel by bus or train, wave the phone near payment kiosk to pay for the ticket and scan the latest schedules.
  4. While returning home, buy the necessary products from local supermarket and shake the phone over the credit card reader. If it has your credit card details, the payment is done.
  5. Did you see a poster of your favorite band? Just bring the phone near it and you will get to know the concert dates, price of tickets and every other detail of the band.
  6. Finally, when you meet friends at the evening, share the latest films and songs quickly. One of the biggest advantages of this technology is that it transfers large amount of data of data very fast.

That is how Near Field Communication is changing our lives. Have you tried this technology? Share your experience with us.
